Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking an experienced Infection Control Nurse Leader to oversee hospital-wide infection control initiatives in a 66-bed LTAC and ARU setting. The role collaborates with physicians, managers, and public health authorities to prevent and control infections.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in nursing (Master’s preferred), RN license, and BLS. The candidate will manage audits, educate staff, and ensure adherence to CDC/JCAHO guidelines across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field required.
• Master’s degree in clinical specialty preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and monitors infection control policies for all departments.
• Implements surveillance for hospital-acquired and community infections and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Provides physicians and staff with updates on infection control policy changes.
• Investigates outbreaks or clusters of infections and recommends control measures.
• Acts as resource person for staff on infection control and conducts audits and follow-ups.
