Job summary

Ridge Behavioral Health System in Lexington, KY seeks a Staff Educator to assist the CNO in evaluating, designing, and implementing hospital training events for all staff, and to provide patient nursing assessments as needed.

You will participate in treatment team meetings and help ensure TB testing and flu vaccination compliance, with exposure to antibiotic stewardship activities within a behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• A Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in behavioral health or an acute setting.

Responsibilities

• Assures staff trainings address changes in health care management and health science and technology.
• Ensures education and training program designs are based on instructional strategies to enhance staff retention.
• Administers and ensures compliance with TB skin tests and flu vaccinations.
• Participates in the antibiotic stewardship program, running reports and following up with providers.
