Job summary

Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System, a 140-bed hospital in Kentucky, seeks an Infection Preventionist / Staff Educator to oversee infection surveillance and staff education. • Ongoing RN nursing education related to performance improvement and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains methods to identify and record infections in patients and staff.
• Carries out inspections to ensure infection control procedures are followed.
• Collects and maintains infection-related statistical data.
• Assists with education programs for infection control within the hospital.
• Regularly facilitates training classes with all staff.
• Reviews education and training needs with departments and recommends improvements.
