The Staff Educator & Infection Control Nurse will support the CNO in designing and delivering hospital training programs and may perform patient nursing assessments as needed. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care and a collaborative, professional team environment with a focus on safety, confidentiality

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with a Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Current KY Nursing Licensure.
• Minimum of three years of experience and/or training in behavioral health or acute setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital staff training events.
• Provide patient nursing assessments on as-needed basis.
• Participate in treatment team meetings as needed.
• Ensure staff trainings address changes in health care management and education strategies.
• Design education programs to enhance staff retention and compliance with TB testing and flu vaccination.
