Job summary

The Ridge Behavioral Health System in Lexington, KY is seeking a Staff Educator & Infection Control Nurse to support the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events for all staff. The role may include patient nursing assessments on an as-needed basis and participation in treatment team meetings.

Located in Lexington, The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder services with 24/7 inpatient care and five-day outpatient coverage.

Qualifications

• RN with a Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Current KY Nursing Licensure.
• Minimum of three years of experience and/or training in behavioral health or acute setting.

Responsibilities

• Assures staff trainings address changes in health care management and health science and technology.
• Ensure education and training program designs enhance staff retention using instructional strategies.
• Administers and ensures compliance with TB Skin tests and flu shots.
• Participate in the antibiotic stewardship program; running reports and doing follow-up work with providers.
