Universal Health Services in Lexington, KY is seeking a Staff Educator & Infection Control Nurse to design and implement hospital training events and assist with patient nursing assessments. You will support a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment within a 110-bed psychiatric and substance use treatment setting.

The role requires an RN with a BSN and KY licensure, plus at least three years’ experience, ideally in behavioral health.

Located in Lexington, Kentucky, The Ridge offers a healing environment to reassure patients’ sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and substance use disorder (drug and alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a five-day per week basis, days and evenings. Care is provided according to an established code of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.

Position Summary:

The Staff Educator is responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events with respect to all staff required training. Also provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments. Participates in treatment team meetings as needed.
