Avantara Pierre is seeking an Infection Control nurse (RN) to join our caring team in Pierre, SD. You will educate staff, develop and enforce infection control policies, identify and prevent outbreaks, and analyze data to maintain exceptional resident care.

The role requires a SD RN license, CPR certification, and 5 years as an RN with 1 year in infection control. Competitive wages, bonus opportunities, and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field.
• Unencumbered South Dakota RN license.
• CPR Certification.
• Five (5) years of RN experience and one (1) year in an infection control position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, implementation and enforcement of infection control policies.
• Identify, control and prevent outbreaks within the facility.
• Collect and analyze infection control data and act as a resource for employees, residents and families.

As an Infection Control nurse you are at the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Pierre by providing education to staff and assisting with the development, implementation and enforcement of infection control policies and procedures, identifying, controlling, and preventing outbreaks of infection in the facility, collecting and analyzing infection control data and acting as an infection control resource for employees, residents, and their family members. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of South Dakota RN license and C.P.R. Certification. Five (5) years of experience as a R.N. and one (1) year of experience in an infection control position is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
