Job summary

Avantara Pierre is seeking an Infection Control nurse (RN) to join our compassionate team. You will support the clinical department by educating staff and enforcing infection control policies to prevent outbreaks and ensure a high standard of care for residents.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Nursing, an unencumbered SD RN license, and CPR certification. Five years of RN experience with one year in infection control is preferred; we offer competitive wages and growth

As an Infection Control nurse you are at the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Pierre by providing education to staff and assisting with the development, implementation and enforcement of infection control policies and procedures, identifying, controlling, and preventing outbreaks of infection in the facility, collecting and analyzing infection control data and acting as an infection control resource for employees, residents, and their family members. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of South Dakota RN license and C.P.R. Certification. Five (5) years of experience as a R.N. and one (1) year of experience in an infection control position is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
