Avantara Joliet seeks an Infection Preventionist RN to join our team in Joliet, IL. You will lead infection control initiatives, educate staff, and help develop, implement and enforce policies to prevent outbreaks and protect residents.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an Illinois RN license, CPR certification, and 5 years of RN experience with 2–3 years in infection control. Avantara Joliet is an equal opportunity employer.

As an Infection Preventionist Nurse, you are at the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Joliet by providing education to staff and assisting with the development, implementation and enforcement of infection control policies and procedures, identifying, controlling, and preventing outbreaks of infection in the facility, collecting and analyzing infection control data and acting as an infection control resource for employees, residents, and their family members. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license and C.P.R. Certification. Five (5) years of experience as a R.N. and 2-3 years of experience in an infection control position is preferable.
