Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks Infantry Soldiers to join as a backbone on ground operations, training to attack, repel, and hold ground during combat with advanced tactics and weapons. You will learn to operate and maintain equipment while serving part-time in the National Guard.

This role offers paid training, tuition assistance, healthcare, retirement options, and a strong drill schedule. Eligibility includes enlistment, age 17–35, and meeting physical and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.).
