Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking Infantry Soldiers to fill essential ground combat roles. You will participate in reconnaissance, operate weapons, and coordinate with teams during training and missions.

Eligibility includes high school graduation or GED, age 17–35, and successful medical and background checks. You will undergo Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with tuition assistance and monthly drill pay available.

Qualifications

• Enlistment in Army National Guard required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate or have a GED.
• Ages 17–35.
• Must pass a medical exam and meet legal/moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements apply per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Handle and store combat weapons (rifles, machine guns, mines).
