Job summary

DC Army National Guard in the United States seeks Infantry Soldiers to fill roles on the ground, employing advanced weapons and tactics to take or hold terrain in combat operations. You will train for real-world missions, conduct reconnaissance, and operate diverse weapon systems.

Training consists of Basic Combat Training (14 weeks) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT). You’ll earn a regular paycheck during drill weekends and qualify for education benefits such as tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Requires enlistment in the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations and support mission planning.
• Operate weapon systems under varying conditions, including night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
