Job summary

The Learning Experience in Tallahassee is opening soon and is seeking an enthusiastic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our founding team. You will create a safe, nurturing classroom and implement the LEAP curriculum through hands-on, play-based learning.

Minimum 1–2 years of childcare experience and a Florida DCF 45-hour training certificate are required. We value reliability, teamwork, and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of formal childcare experience.
• Florida DCF 45-hour training certificate completed.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet all Florida childcare licensing requirements.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Implement TLEAP curriculum through hands-on, play-based learning.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Keep children engaged through creativity, music, movement, exploration, and play.
• Communicate regularly with families about their child’s experiences and milestones.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow Florida childcare licensing, health, safety, and supervision requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team to provide exceptional care and education.
