Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) invites applications for an Infant/Toddler Teacher 2. You will work with an experienced teacher to provide developmentally appropriate activities in a quality early childhood program, promoting growth in physical, social, emotional, and intellectual domains.

The role requires relevant credentials (FCCPC, CDA, ECPC, CCAC, or NECC) and may require obtaining an Infant Toddler CDA within 260 days.

Qualifications

• ONE of FCCPC Birth to Five Years; OR Infant/Toddler National CDA Credential (Center-Based); OR ECPC; OR CCAC; OR NECC Credential.
• If using CDA, must obtain Infant Toddler National CDA within 260 days of accepting this position.
• Transcripts must be submitted for review to ECS and HR for final approval.
• College coursework in Early Childhood Education (9 credits) AND 3 months (480 hours) experience; maintain uninterrupted college enrollment while pursuing AA/AS.

Responsibilities

• Work with a teaching team to provide developmentally appropriate activities.
• Use HighScope curriculum to plan environments, activities, and routines.
• Observe and assess children to support development toward RCMA goals.
• Maintain a safe, healthy classroom and outdoor environment.
• Engage with families as a partner in education.
• Manage classroom operations and professional conduct.
• Adhere to RCMA funding and DCF requirements.

Infant/Toddler National CDA Credential (Center-Based)

Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC)

Child Care Apprenticeship Certificate (CCAC)

Staff Credential Verification by NECC

AA/AS degree coursework in ECE (9 credits) + 480 hours experience
