Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers and their families across California.

The role involves conducting developmental assessments, following IFSP plans, and coaching families in the child’s natural environment, including homes and community settings. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, with a supportive team and opportunities for flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• California Occupational Therapy license.
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred).
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).
