Job summary

A Step Ahead in Pierce County is seeking an Early Support Services Provider – Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality services to infants and toddlers with developmental delays. You will work with a transdisciplinary team to assess needs, develop individualized service plans, and implement strategies in natural environments.

You will provide services in accordance with your discipline and training, ESIT credential guidance, and AS APC policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Education, Therapy, Social Work, Human Services or a related field.
• Certified, licensed and registered in the State of Washington, as applicable to OT.
• Ability to obtain ESIT Credential specific to discipline (Practitioner).
• Pass Washington State pre-employment background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid Driver’s License and proof of Auto Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to infants and toddlers in natural environments (homes, childcare centers, community settings).
• Develop and implement IFSP-based activities and evaluations.
• Educate and empower families to participate in their child’s intervention.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry per regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with transdisciplinary team and community partners.
• Adhere to agency policies and maintain confidentiality.
