Job summary

Wayfinder Family Services seeks an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist to support children from birth to three years in their natural environments. You will help build foundational skills through daily routines and play, working with families to embed therapeutic activities into everyday life.

The role focuses on infants and toddlers with motor delays, sensory challenges, and developmental needs, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• California occupational therapy state licensure is required.
• Minimum one year of experience as an occupational therapist, working with infants/children preferred.
• Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of three years driving history and-insurance approval to drive agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful, individualized occupational therapy in the child’s natural environment.
• Partner with families to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines (mealtime, bath time, playtime).
• Support infants and toddlers with motor delays, atypical tone, global developmental delays, sensory challenges, or vision loss.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop IFSPs.
• Provide progress updates and ensure services meet Regional Center or school district requirements.
• Guide families in accessing medical, educational, and community resources.
• Advocate alongside parents to navigate systems of care.
