Job summary

EightCAP, Inc. seeks an Infant/Toddler Teacher (LITE) to lead and supervise staff in a safe, organized learning environment. You will plan and implement curricula, assess progress, and engage families as their child’s first teachers.

You will support social-emotional development, coordinate with families, and ensure compliance with Head Start and licensing regulations while communicating with children, staff, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with 18 semester hours in ECE/child development
• Experience working with young children in an early childhood setting
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, families, and community partners
• Understanding of mandated reporting requirements and state procedures
• Demonstrated leadership in supervising other adults
• Must complete all required state and federal background clearances

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage classroom staff ensuring child safety and program quality
• Complete regular health, safety, and classroom checklists
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries with families and staff
• Ensure compliance with Head Start, licensing, and CACFP requirements
• Maintain attendance, meal documentation, in‑kind, and parent conferences
• Communicate positively with children, families, staff, and partners
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure smooth operations
• Be familiar with emergency procedures and respond effectively
• Participate in professional development to meet Head Start standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
