Job summary

Community Action Early Head Start is seeking an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher to develop and lead a comprehensive education program for infants and toddlers. The role includes supervising staff, partnering with families, and documenting child development to support social-emotional and cognitive growth.

Starting pay is $22.76–$27.74 per hour based on qualifications. This on-site position offers benefits, training, and opportunities to advance within Head Start.

Qualifications

• Must have Infant Toddler CDA or related degree.
• At least 1 year experience with children and families.
• Strong English verbal and written skills required.
• Sensitivity to low-income and diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for ages 6 weeks to 3 years.
• Observe, assess, and document health, skills, behavior, growth, and development.
• Develop partnerships with parents/caregivers and encourage input.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of classroom staff.
• Develop individualized goals and educational plans for each child.
• Foster positive relationships with children in the classroom.
• Provide training and mentoring to staff.
