EightCAP, Inc. in Ionia, MI is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher to lead a classroom of infants and toddlers.

This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offers a competitive hourly pay of $23.48–$27.40, with potential to earn $28.19 when supervising another educator, and year-round stability. You will mentor assistants, plan engaging activities, document progress, communicate with families, and partner with the Education Coordinator to meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development (or related field with 18 credits in ECE).
• Experience with young children in an early childhood setting.
• Leadership experience supervising staff.
• Understanding of mandated reporting responsibilities.
• Background clearances completed as required.

Pay: $23.48–$27.40 per hour, with eligibility for $28.19 per hour when supervising another Infant/Toddler Educator Teacher

You’ll guide classroom staff, plan meaningful learning experiences, and build positive relationships with families. We recognize parents and guardians as their children’s first and most important teachers—and you’ll help them stay actively involved in their children’s development.

What you’ll do

• Lead and support Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistants and Center Assistants.
• Plan and implement learning experiences that support children’s development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, welcoming classroom.
• Partner with families through regular communication, home visits, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Track children’s progress and maintain accurate program records.
• Work with your teaching team and Education Coordinator to meet program requirements and support continuous improvement.
  

What you’ll bring

• An associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 18 semester hours in early childhood education or child development. Related fields include elementary education, child guidance/counseling, child psychology, family studies, and social work.
• Experience working with young children in an early childhood setting.
• Leadership skills and experience supervising other adults.
• A positive, respectful approach to working with children, families, and colleagues.
• An understanding of mandated reporting responsibilities.
• Successful completion of required state and federal background clearances.

Local work-related travel may be required. A valid Michigan driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation are required. This is an active classroom role involving indoor and outdoor activities and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
