The Learning Experience in Riverton, NJ is seeking a nurturing Infant Lead Teacher to lead our infant classroom, providing a safe, engaging early learning environment and building strong relationships with families. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of lead-teacher experience in licensed centers, an associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, and a valid NJ licensing background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of lead teacher experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; HS diploma accepted.
• Experience with infants in group settings is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to lead a classroom and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the infant classroom and oversee daily routines and activities.
• Plan developmentally appropriate activities to support infant development.
• Provide individualized care including feeding, diapering, and sleep routines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom in compliance with licensing.
• Build positive relationships with families through regular communication and updates.
• Complete daily reports and classroom records; document developmental observations.
• Collaborate with classroom staff to ensure consistency and quality of care.
• Create a warm environment that encourages exploration and emotional security.
