Qualifications

• Requires degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years in licensed childcare/early education.
• Knowledge of toddler development and best practices in early childhood education.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to meet New Jersey state childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans for toddlers.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for early development.
• Monitor and document each child's milestones and progress.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about growth and activities.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and aides.
• Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing and safety standards.
• Incorporate social-emotional learning, language development, and sensory play into daily routines.
