The Learning Experience in Riverton, NJ is seeking an Infant Lead Teacher to lead our infant classroom with a nurturing, dependable approach. You will create a safe, engaging environment and partner with families to support early learning.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of lead teaching experience, an associate degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field), and a commitment to high-quality childcare delivery. Enjoy a supportive team and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Lead Teacher experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Strong knowledge of infant development and early childhood practices.
• Ability to meet NJ childcare licensing and background check requirements.

Responsabilités

What You'll Do as Our Infant Lead Teacher:

As the lead teacher, you will take an active role in the daily operation of your infant classroom while providing exceptional care and early learning experiences.

• Lead Your Classroom: Oversee the daily routines, activities, and overall learning environment of the infant classroom.
• Support Infant Development: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, language development, motor skills, and early learning.
• Provide Individualized Care: Understand and respond to each infant's individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and developmental needs.
• Create a Safe Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing classroom while following all health, safety, and childcare licensing requirements.
• Build Family Relationships: Establish positive relationships with families through consistent communication, daily updates, and sharing important developmental milestones.
• Maintain Documentation: Complete daily reports, classroom records, developmental observations, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate & Lead: Work closely with classroom assistants and fellow educators to maintain consistent routines, classroom expectations, and quality care.
• Make Every Moment Count: Create a warm, loving environment where infants feel secure, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Lead Teacher in a licensed childcare center preferred.
• Education: Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. High school diploma or GED required.
• Infant Experience: Previous experience working with infants in a group childcare setting strongly preferred.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to take initiative, organize classroom routines, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with other educators.
• Knowledge of Development: Understanding of infant developmental milestones, age-appropriate activities, and responsive caregiving practices.
• Dependability: A reliable, professional, and positive attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
• Licensing Requirements: Ability to meet all applicable New Jersey childcare licensing, background check, and employment requirements.
