The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) seeks an Industry and Market Analyst to research industry and market trends across taxi, app-based, and traditional TLC-regulated services in New York City. You will gather data, analyze economics, and inform regulatory and policy efforts to improve worker protections and oversight.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will develop forecasts, engage directly with drivers and industry operators, and translate findings into actionable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, HCI, interactive media, data visualization, communication or related field plus four years’ experience.
• Associate degree plus six years’ experience in related area.
• Bachelor’s degree plus eight years’ experience in related area.
• Education/experience equivalent to 1–3 above.

Responsabilités

• Support the Executive Director in analyzing market conditions, regulatory compliance, oversight structures, investigations, industry data, and policy impacts.
• Design audits, market analyses, and investigations of industry practices to identify impacts on drivers’ earnings and conditions.
• Create and maintain financial models and forecasts for TLC-regulated industries.
• Translate economic findings into memoranda, reports, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to meet unit objectives.
• Complete special assignments and projects as needed by senior management.
