Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Ohio is seeking a skilled Welder to repair containers, fleet vehicles, and compactors in our shop and in the field. You will fabricate, weld with MIG/ARC, cut steel, and assist with installations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years welding and cutting experience or completion of a technical training program.
• Knowledge of MIG/ARC and stick welding preferred.
• Ability to fabricate and repair containers, fleet vehicles, and related equipment.
• Ability to operate forklift/skid steer safely.
• Excellent welding and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication or repair on company/customer containers, compactors, or fleet vehicles safely.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components.
• Cut steel using plasma cutter and various saws.
• Perform related work such as bending, forming, beveling, and cutting of metal parts.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Complete required paperwork in computer systems.
• Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and management.
• Assist with compactor installations as needed.
