Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a skilled Welder to repair and fabricate containers, fleet components, and compactors. You’ll weld with MIG/ARC, cut steel with plasma, and fabricate parts in a shop setting while adhering to safety policies.

The role includes field assist duties with installations and a shift from 6am-8pm, Monday through Friday. Ideal candidates have 1-2 years welding experience or completed a technical training program, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Experience welding and fabricating metal parts in a shop setting.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of welding safety practices and shop safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanding, grinding, cutting, torching, drilling and welding on containers, compactors, or fleet vehicles.
• Fabricate steel components and weld using MIG/ARC welding processes.
• Operate plasma cutter and various saws for cutting steel; maintain a safe workspace.
