Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking a Field Service Technician to service industrial weighing equipment at customer locations. You will perform preventative maintenance, calibrations, and basic repairs while maintaining professional representation of the company across your region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain Weights and Measures license.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–25% with overnight stays as needed.
• Experience in field service or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on weighing equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and support installations, projects, and repairs with experienced technicians.
• Provide end-user training on proper equipment use and care.
• Document work in service software and maintain data quality.
• Coordinate with Scheduling Analyst, Service Support, sales, and other technicians to meet uptime targets.
• Maintain company vehicle and inventory in safe, organized condition.
• Identify service or product needs and submit sales leads as appropriate.
• Follow safety, quality, and company policies on the job.
