Job summary

Depot Connect International is seeking a Wastewater & Facility Maintenance Technician to oversee daily wastewater treatment, hazardous waste handling, and plant upkeep at our Columbus, OH facility. The role requires hands-on wastewater experience, a valid wastewater license or ability to obtain one, and basic mechanical/electrical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Wastewater Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating and treating wastewater in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Licensing & Certifications: Active state Wastewater Operator license (or the ability to obtain/maintain one per state regulatory requirements).
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Current RCRA certification or the ability to complete and maintain annual RCRA training.
• Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude: General maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting; electrical work across 120/240V and 277/480V; experience with multiple skilled trades; familiarity with boiler operations.
• Physical Requirements: Lift/move at least 75 lbs; work in varied industrial conditions.

Responsibilities

• Wastewater Operations & Compliance: Treat industrial wastewater daily; monitor streams; ensure regulatory compliance; manage sludge; handle hazardous waste; maintain manifests; ensure Hazard Communication compliance; uphold RCRA training.
• Facility & Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine/preventative maintenance on plant equipment; service boilers; inspect and repair piping and valves; assist with electrical troubleshooting; perform general building/grounds maintenance; diagnose mechanical malfunctions and complete work orders.
