Job summary

Bray International is seeking a Technical Inside Sales Representative in Pleasanton, CA. This onsite role supports technically complex customer needs, from product specs and quotations to order coordination and returns, collaborating with Sales, Applications Engineering, Operations, and Accounting.

The ideal candidate has strong technical product knowledge, excellent communication, and at least 2 years in a technical sales or support role, with familiarity in valves or related products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years in technical inside sales or a similar customer-facing role.
• Strong technical knowledge of product lines and applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with valves, pumps, instrumentation, or related products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for technical product information, quotes, or support.
• Respond to inquiries promptly via calls, emails, and other channels.
• Identify customer needs and propose suitable solutions.
• Maintain relationships to drive repeat business and satisfaction.
• Prepare accurate quotations based on specs, pricing, and delivery.
• Ensure quotes align with pricing models and guidelines.
• Track orders from inception to delivery, handling changes or cancellations.
• Provide technical assistance explaining features and applications.
• Advise on product selection and configuration per requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Applications Engineering, Operations, and Logistics.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and partners for pricing and lead times.
• Maintain accurate customer and order data in CRM/ERP.
• Monitor open quotes and follow up to win opportunities.
• Provide remote or on-site training on usage and maintenance.
• Organize product demonstrations when required.
• Investigate and resolve product-related issues.
• Assist with returns, repairs, or replacements per policy.
• Stay updated on industry trends through training and meetings.
