Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a skilled utility systems operator for our Solon, OH facility. You will operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plant utility equipment, ensuring safe, reliable operations and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with maintenance, operations, and contractors. A CIRO or boiler license is required along with the ability to work off-shifts.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of experience operating, repairing, and maintaining utility systems such as boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, water treatment, steam/condensate, and associated equipment
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment
• State Boiler Operator License, Stationary Engineer License or CIRO license required

Responsibilities

• Safely start up, operate, adjust, and shut down utility systems, including boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, water treatment, steam/condensate, and associated equipment
• Monitor gauges, instruments, alarms, and system readings to maintain proper pressure, temperature, and fluid levels
• Perform routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components such as valves, pumps, compressors, controls, and motors
• Respond to alarms, malfunctions, and emergency calls; coordinate support when needed
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation for readings, inspections, maintenance, and system checks
• Communicate system conditions, risks, and needed actions to leadership and production teams
• Work with maintenance, operations, and external contractors to ensure continuous utility availability
• Follow all procedures for safety, quality, housekeeping, and standard work practices
