Job summary

Nestlé USA in Solon, OH is hiring to keep critical utility systems running safely for day-to-day manufacturing operations. You’ll operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot boilers, ammonia/CO₂ refrigeration, HVAC, and related equipment while collaborating with maintenance teams.

The role requires 3–5 years’ experience, a boiler/operator license or CIRO, and the ability to work nights and weekends. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies competitive hourly pay and a quarterly bonus

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience operating, repairing, and maintaining utility systems like boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, and water treatment.
• State Boiler Operator License or CIRO license is required.
• Ability to read and understand English for safety procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
• Willingness to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in loud areas.

Responsibilities

• Safely start up, operate, adjust, and shut down utility systems including boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, and water treatment.
• Monitor gauges, alarms, and readings to maintain proper pressure, temperature, and fluid levels.
• Perform preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical components such as valves, pumps, and motors.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with maintenance and contractors when needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation per company and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate system conditions and actions to leadership and production teams.
• Support system upgrades and capital maintenance projects.
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and external contractors to ensure continuous utility availability.
• Follow safety, quality, housekeeping, and standard work procedures.
