Job summary

McCloud Builders is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee industrial tilt-up projects in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and overseeing from pre-construction through closeout to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance. You will serve as the main liaison among owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams, managing procurement, cost control, and project documentation throughout

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related discipline is preferred, but not required.
• 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, project controls, and construction administration.
• Experience coordinating sophisticated MEP, security, low-voltage, technology, and specialty systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, logistics plans, procurement strategies, and execution plans in collaboration with the Superintendent and project team.
• Lead subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract negotiations, and scope management.
• Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, change orders, and monthly reporting.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, project documentation, owner communications, and contract administration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Oversee construction activities and complex building systems to ensure quality, schedule, and project objectives are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, contractual obligations, applicable regulations, and security protocols.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, quality, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction.
• Lead project meetings and maintain accountability among project team members and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support successful project outcomes and future opportunities.
• Mentor and support the development of Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other junior team members.
• Manage project turnover and closeout, including commissioning, training, punch lists, closeout documentation, and owner acceptance.
