Job summary

Client Builders seeks experienced Construction Project Managers to oversee industrial tilt-up projects in the Washington D.C. metro area. You will coordinate site development, schedules, procurement, and cost control while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include leading subcontractor negotiations, managing RFIs and submittals, and maintaining owner communications. A strong background in MEP and complex building systems is preferred, with at least 3 years in

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project controls.
• Experience coordinating sophisticated MEP, security, low-voltage, technology, and specialty systems preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, logistics plans, procurement strategies, and execution plans in collaboration with the Superintendent and project team.
• Lead subcontractor procurement, buyout, contract negotiations, and scope management.
• Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, change orders, and monthly reporting.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, project documentation, owner communications, and contract administration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Oversee construction activities and complex building systems to ensure quality, schedule, and project objectives are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, contractual obligations, applicable regulations, and security protocols.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to safety, quality, budget, schedule, and client satisfaction.
• Lead project meetings and maintain accountability among project team members and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support successful project outcomes and future opportunities.
• Mentor and support the development of Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other junior team members.
• Manage project turnover and closeout, including commissioning, training, punch lists, closeout documentation, and owner acceptance.

Client Builders is seeking experienced Construction Project Managers to oversee industrial tilt-up building projects in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. These projects range in size and require extensive site development and sitework coordination. Current upcoming projects are located in the 66W corridor, Manassas, VA, Bristow, VA, Rockville, MD and Upper Marlboro, MD.

Client Project Managers are responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the contract requirements, company standards, and client expectations. Client Project Managers serve as a primary point of contact between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

3+ years of commercial construction project management experience.

Demonstrate success in managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Working knowledge of secure construction environments and project requirements.

Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, project controls, and construction administration.

Experience coordinating sophisticated MEP, security, low-voltage, technology, and specialty systems preferred.

Proven financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, change management, and cost reporting.

Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
