Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for the 2nd Shift to keep plant production equipment running. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs with maintenance staff and external partners.

The role emphasizes strong electrical/mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and experience in a manufacturing setting. Training will occur on the 1st shift during an initial 4–8 week period with rate adjustments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or related technical environment or a technical degree.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with electrical and mechanical systems including PLCs, VFDs, pneumatics, hydraulics, servo motors, and refrigeration.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals; use testing instruments and maintain records.

Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our manufacturing team on the 2nd Shift. This role is responsible for ensuring plant production systems remain operational through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and coordination with maintenance personnel and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule & Compensation

• Position: 2nd Shift
• Working Hours: Between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM
• Pay Rate: $33.42/hour

Training Period

• Required training for approximately 4-8 weeks
• Training will be completed on 1st Shift
• Training Hours: Between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• Training Pay Rate: $32.92/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot plant production equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or related technical environment or a technical degree.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with:
  • Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Servo motors
  • Refrigeration systems (NH3/Ammonia)
  • Boiler systems
  • HVAC systems
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience using maintenance tools, instruments, and testing equipment.
• Ability to prioritize work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Food manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of sanitary equipment design and maintenance.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with 5S principles and continuous improvement practices.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, pinching, and tool operation.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, kneel, and work in various positions while performing maintenance tasks.
• Capability to safely work around industrial manufacturing equipment and machinery.
