Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Structural Designer for the Manufacturing Infrastructure Services team in Pittsburgh, PA.

You will design state-of-the-art facilities across diverse markets, collaborating with engineers, architects, and specialists to deliver robust foundations, structures, and models. The role emphasizes hands-on modeling in Revit, coordination across disciplines, and mentoring teammates, with opportunities for growth, ownership, and a balanced hybrid

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience on structural projects, industrial/manufacturing focus
• Ability to interpret and coordinate multiple drawings across disciplines
• Experience with industrial facilities, metals facilities, or heavy industrial plants
• Proficiency in creating structural models and construction documents
• Proficiency in Revit for structural modeling and docs, minimum 1 year of use
• Experience using Bluebeam Revu for reviews and QA/QC
• Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
• Strong MS Office skills
• Willingness to travel up to 5%

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with structural engineer to design buildings, foundations, equipment foundations, and steel/concrete structures
• Develop and maintain structural Revit models and docs
• Coordinate with architecture/mechanical/electrical/process disciplines
• Review information sources to resolve design criteria issues
• Develop structural material take-offs
• Provide quality oversight for designs by others
• Assist lead engineer/designer with client meetings
• Mentor less experienced designers
• Help develop discipline hour estimates
