Job summary

Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is hiring a Structural Designer for our Manufacturing Infrastructure Services (MIS) team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will design state-of-the-art facilities across diverse markets, coordinating with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines.

You will contribute to building controls, field visits, and mentoring while enjoying ownership opportunities in a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Clear communication and collaboration with engineers and designers.
• Willingness to perform field/site visits as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with structural engineer to design buildings, foundations, and steel/concrete structures.
• Develop and maintain structural Revit models and construction documents with other disciplines.
• Evaluate problems by reviewing information and coordinating design criteria with other disciplines.
• Develop structural material take-offs.
• Provide quality oversight for structural designs by others when necessary.
• Assist lead engineer/designer as the point of contact for the structural discipline.
