Job summary

Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Pittsburgh, PA MIS team. You will lead design for industrial facilities across markets, mentoring staff and coordinating with PMs, clients, and disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of structural engineering experience, incl. heavy industrial/manufacturing facilities.
• Active Professional Engineering License (P.E.).
• Proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD, RISA, TEDDS, spMats).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Apply codes, standards, and judgment to design structural systems.
• Analyze industrial buildings, foundations, crane runways, and equipment supports.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specs for steel, concrete, masonry.
• Provide technical direction and quality oversight on designs.
• Serve as structural discipline lead and main client/PM contact.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
• Mentor engineers and develop labor-hour estimates.
• Support business development and proposals.
