Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a senior sales/technical specialist to drive industrial portfolio specifications across North America. You will lead strategic technical initiatives, coordinate with product management and sales teams, and engage with engineers, owners, and contractors to expand JM’s presence in industrial insulation markets.

The role requires heavy travel, deep technical knowledge, and a proven ability to build influential relationships with specifiers and industry groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management required.
• 10+ years insulation industry experience with commercial/customer facing responsibilities.
• 6+ years in engineering community influencer/technical sales roles.
• Willingness to travel at least 60% with company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Position Johns Manville Performance Materials systems/products in specifications with design professionals.
• Lead strategic technical and specification development with field sales, portfolio, I&C, and marketing teams.
• Identify specifier firms not currently specifying Johns Manville Insulation and rewrite master specs.
• Deliver AIA or credit-approved presentations via video or in person.
• Implement active project tracking and metrics for top North American industrial projects.
• Develop and maintain construction lead generation pipelines to aid sales efforts.
• Evaluate market trends and competitive products to align portfolio with market needs.
• Manage strategic relationships with key specification influencers in industrial insulation and corrosion prevention.
• Contribute to JM specification position in industry associations and standard bodies.
• Provide VOC input for new product development and portfolio maintenance initiatives.
• Lead development of tools to improve efficiency of the specifier services team.
• Participate in regional events and trade shows to present JM technical capabilities.
