Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking an Industrial Specialist for the Midwest Zone to drive sales and represent the industrial product platform to MRO accounts, OEMs, and professional painting contractors across AL, AR, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MN, MO, MS, ND, NE, OH, OK, SD, TN, TX, WI. Remote home-based role with 40-50% travel within the territory.

The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of paint & coatings outside sales experience and strong product knowledge in protective/marine and flooring coatings,

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of paint & coatings outside sales experience preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge in Protective & Marine products, Industrial Flooring products, and market dynamics and trends in coatings.
• NACE Level I or II certification preferred or other industry certifications.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR as prescribed by Rust-Oleum.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business and support existing accounts to grow sales in Industrial, MRO, OEM and Protective Marine segments.
• Collect reliable customer/territory data and estimate potential.
• Develop a strategy to grow business with customers and identify items needing attention.
• Develop weekly selling plan and conduct sales calls with reports.
• Conduct product demos to support selling process and assist customers' applications.
• Manage territory budgets and pricing; travel 40-50% within territory.
• Maintain regular contact to identify opportunities and present new products.
