Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking a highly driven National Architectural Coatings Sales Specialist to launch and expand its architectural paint portfolio across Paint Channel, Hardware, and MRO segments. This role partners with field sales, distribution, and key accounts to accelerate adoption and drive profitable growth.

With 5+ years in architectural coatings, multi-channel sales experience, and strong technical knowledge, you will influence customers and lead cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years in architectural coatings, paint, or related building products industry.
• Proven success in multi-channel sales environments across Paint, Hardware, and/or MRO distribution.
• Strong understanding of coatings applications and contractor needs.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and lead through collaboration.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally (50-70%).

Responsibilities

• Lead national sales efforts supporting the architectural coatings launch across channels.
• Act as technical and commercial expert on architectural coatings; provide training and guidance.
• Partner with Regional Sales Managers and Distributors to develop new opportunities.
• Drive pull-through demand with contractors, facility managers, and end users.
• Build channel-specific growth strategies to expand distribution and share of wallet.
• Conduct joint sales calls and field rides to elevate sales execution.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and Supply Chain on launches and lifecycle management.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategy.
