Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a maintenance technician for 1st shift in Sedalia, MO. The role involves working on delivery systems, steam boilers, HVAC equipment, ice machines, and ammonia piping, with responsibilities in cleaning, temperature readings, machine logs, and general refrigeration maintenance.

The candidate must have basic computer skills, be able to pass level 4 hazmat, and have at least six months of industrial maintenance and electrical/pumping experience.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Six months of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics beneficial.
• Six months experience in industrial electrical and pumping is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain refrigeration systems, steam boilers, thermal fluid heaters, HVAC equipment, and related components.
• Clean areas and equipment; monitor temperatures, machine readings and compressor logs.
• Learn and follow the company’s process safety management program.
• Train in Hi-Tech machinery maintenance and operation.
• Adapt to daily situations and respond to emergencies as needed.
