Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support our engineering team in a cold storage facility.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, and help ensure safe, efficient operations in challenging environments. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in PRW/industrial refrigeration, experience with forklifts and related equipment, and a solid understanding of refrigeration controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• RETA courses or other industry training preferred.
• 2–5 years in PRW/industrial refrigeration systems experience.
• Proficient in building and equipment maintenance.
• Moderate electrical, HVAC, welding, or plumbing knowledge.
• Familiar with material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Knowledge of refrigeration control systems and asset management (Infor EAM).

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime and support facility operations.
• Provide cross-functional support to the maintenance team.
• Perform maintenance and repair on powered industrial trucks.
• Apply electrical troubleshooting to diagnose and repair failures.
• Execute welding, cutting, and metal fabrication.
• Monitor refrigeration logs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with operation and repair of industrial refrigeration systems.
• Perform general facility maintenance including dock equipment and HVAC.
• Participate in emergency response training.
