Professional Alternatives is seeking an Industrial Quotes Coordinator in Houston, TX for an immediate temporary-to-hire opportunity. Responsibilities include coordinating with management across planning, purchasing, logistics and operations, negotiating costs with suppliers, and submitting bid packages to customers.

The role requires 0-2 years in product research or related activities and a 2-year degree or equivalent experience. Central Houston location, pay up to $35 hourly based on experience.

Essential Functions

• Communicate or work with all levels of management, Inside Sales/Outside Sales in the areas of planning, purchasing, logistics and operations regularly
• Communicate effectively with vendors and customers
• Collect pricing and data from our vendors
• Negotiate cost reduction with suppliers
• Participate in team strategizing to optimize product and freight spend
• Submit bid packages to our customers
• Follow all company policies, Texas and USA laws
• Meet all meeting deadlines before they are due
• Learn and possess good product knowledge
• Knowledge of different ways to research product capabilities
• Identifying how to best meet special customer requirements while maintaining efficiency in those operational flows
• Identifying issues that affect overall company profitability and implementing field methods that maximizes the bottom line profit of the overall company
• Able to build a contact base for specific products
• Creating improvements and changes when necessary
