Job summary

Southeast Pumps is seeking skilled technicians to inspect, disassemble, repair, and rebuild industrial pumps and rotating equipment across Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Florida. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical experience in industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, pump, or rotating-equipment environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and understand equipment specifications.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment.
• Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, disassemble, repair, and rebuild industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and identify causes of equipment failure.
• Repair bearings, seals, packing, shafts, impellers and other components.
• Measure shafts, housings, bearings, impellers and other components using precision measuring tools.
• Read and interpret pump drawings, assembly drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Align pumps using dial indicators, laser alignment equipment, or other precision tools.
• Inspect repaired equipment to ensure proper fit, clearances, tolerances, and operating condition.
• Test pumps and equipment after repairs.
• Operate shop equipment (cranes, forklifts, grinders, drills, hydraulic equipment).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete work orders, inspection reports, repair documentation, and parts lists accurately.
• Identify additional repair requirements and communicate findings to supervisors or management.
• Follow established repair procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Assist with field service or emergency repairs when needed.
• Properly handle, store, and dispose of oils, solvents, chemicals, and other shop materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
