Southeast Pump Specialist operates as a vital subsidiary within Flow Control Group (FCG). Augusta, GA hosts this hands-on pump repair role, requiring mechanical aptitude and experience with industrial rotating equipment.

You will inspect, repair, and assemble pumps, read engineering drawings, and assist with field service and safety procedures. The position emphasizes teamwork, precision measuring, and safe handling of oils and chemicals in a busy shop environment, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mechanical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, pump, or rotating-equipment environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and understand equipment specifications.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment.
• Ability to lift, move, and work around heavy industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, disassemble, measure, clean, repair, rebuild, and assemble industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the cause of equipment failure.
• Perform repairs and replacements of bearings, seals, packing, bushings, shafts, wear rings, impellers, sleeves, and other pump components.
• Read and interpret pump drawings, assembly drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Assist with field service or emergency repairs when needed.
