Job summary

Texas Process Equipment (TPE) is seeking an experienced Pump Mechanic to inspect, repair, rebuild, and test a wide variety of industrial pumps and rotating equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship while delivering outstanding customer service.

This position works both in our repair facility and occasionally at customer locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years experience repairing industrial pumps or rotating equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical failures on industrial pumps and rotating equipment.
• Inspect, disassemble, clean, rebuild, and reassemble pumps and related equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete pump overhauls.
• Install, align, and commission new pumping equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and repair documentation.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate service records.
• Recommend repair options and replacement parts.
• Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow team members.
• Assist with field service assignments as needed.
