Job summary

CTS is seeking an experienced career mechanic to disassemble, inspect, and repair industrial pumps in a fast-paced shop. You will work on vertical pumps, horizontal split-case pumps, multi-stage, and sump pumps, ensuring precision and adherence to OEM specs.

You will document measurements, parts used, and findings, and collaborate with machinists and engineers to ensure timely completion while following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment and pump repair.
• Strong mechanical background with problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and OEM specifications.
• Skilled in using precision tools and performing close-tolerance work.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet customer deadlines.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet, and operate safely in a shop or field environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED; formal training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and repair industrial pumps of various makes and models.
• Reassemble equipment with attention to clearances and alignments.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure tolerance compliance.
• Document all work performed with measurements, parts used, and findings.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and other mechanics to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
• Occasionally support field jobs and on-site repairs.
