Job summary

System One is seeking a high-caliber Scheduler for a large industrial project in Houston, TX. The role requires strong CPM scheduling and schedule management, operating independently with moderate oversight across the project lifecycle from RFQ to closeout.

You will develop and validate reports, lead update meetings, perform updates and resource distribution, and mentor junior schedulers in a onsite contract role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of industry experience or 6 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in scheduling or project controls.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
• Familiar with earned value reporting and histogram interpretation.
• Understanding of intermediate CPM principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate project and owner reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Lead schedule update meetings and represent construction plans.
• Perform schedule updates, logic re-application, and resource distribution.
• Analyze resource requirements and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor schedule health indicators and execution adherence.
• Conduct quality checks (e.g., open ends, float, Acumen Fuse).
• Balance earned hours between earned value systems and schedules.
• Mentor junior schedulers and support their development.
