Job summary

Alterman Management Group, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support Project Managers on assigned construction projects. You will participate in planning, review plans, prepare RFIs, and help with schedules, submittals, and safety programs.

This role requires strong communication, ability to read contracts and drawings, and proficiency with project management software. A related apprenticeship or associate degree plus training commitments are preferred, with some travel to job

Qualifications

• Must meet the minimum requirements of one of the following pathways: Inside Wireman Apprenticeship Completion or similar/equivalent, 2 years’ experience in a field supervisory position; OR
• Associate degree in Business Management, Construction Management or Construction Engineering.
• Must commit to participating in Project Management training sessions and receive one-on-one training with an assigned Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager with planning and schedule preparation.
• Review plans and specifications; prepare RFIs as needed.
• Maintain material and document files; create lookaheads and assist with submittals.
• Support project closeout procedures, including punch list items and AHJ inspections.
