Job summary

VMC Development Group in Oakbrook Terrace, IL seeks an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support planning, coordination, and execution of commercial projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, clients, and design teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key duties include assisting with scheduling, budgeting, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation; tracking costs; coordinating subcontractors and deliveries;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1–5 years of construction, project engineering, or project management experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace; experience with Procore is a plus.
